TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu listened to the questions and problems of the council members attending the meeting and gave his opinion on possible solutions.

Stating that the chamber and exchange community has accomplished important things during the July 15^th period, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “A great catastrophe was averted. You stood against the attack as individuals and as a nation. Doing a first is what befits our community. You did what befits our family.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized the necessity of refocusing on the economy as quickly as possible, that it is necessary to support those who are investing into the future of this country.

Addressing chamber/exchange directors, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “You are the opinion leaders of your professions. This isn’t a position which will provide profits for you. You’ll be spending out of the pocket. Everyone will complain to you. You won’t be able to go home to sleep. This is what it is to be the chair of a chamber/exchange. Why would I put up with it? Nobody has a gun to our heads. The most beneficent of men is he who is beneficent unto others. These positions are an opportunity to serve. We should work hard while we have this opportunity.”

Drawing attention to Kütahya CCI’s status as an accredited chamber, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Being accredited means being a 5-star chamber. These ratings are awarded by an independent international organization. It means you provide service on par with chambers and London, Paris or Berlin.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that Kütahya is over the national average in regards to establishment of new firms.

Kütahya CCI Chair Nafi Güral talked about the problems facing Kütahya and Kütahya CCI, putting forth their suggestions to address these issues. He went on to provide information regarding the works of the chamber and its projects.

Attending the meeting were Kütahya CCI Chair Nafi Güral, Kütahya CE Chair Ahmet Altınkaya, Tavşanlı CCI Chair Davut Efe, Simav CCI Chair Şeref Kazcıoğlu, Gediz CCI Chair Mesut Naci Cebecioğlu and council members.
