Emphasizing that there are thousands of entrepreneurs all over Anatolia who see opportunity, who innovate and provide employment, Hisarcıklıoğlu said these enterprises would receive recognition in the public eye, not just nationally but globally.

Drawing attention to the fact that entrepreneurship needs to be supported more, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We need successful people to brought to the fore and presented to our youth as role models. The path to prosperity for Turkey is through increasing its number of entrepreneurs and rapidly developing companies.”
TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu stressed the importance of impressing the concept of entrepreneurship, of risk-taking. Stating that the TOBB Entrepreneurship Councils for Youth and Women were founded to this end, Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that their numbers have reached 15,000.
Stating that Turkey 100 companies will render entrepreneurship more visible and attractive in Turkey, enabling fostering more entrepreneurs, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “I urge all entrepreneurs in our country: If your company grew rapidly in 2012-2015 and if you want to present yourself to the world and open up to new markets, apply to Turkey 100. Take your place among the stars of the world.”

Held annually, Turkey 100 will be organized for the fourth time this year, aiming to increase visibility and global relations of applicant companies based on their financial performance between in the 2012-2015.
Those who enter the shortlist will attend the mini MBA program in the USA ran by TOBB University of Economics and Technology (TOBB ETU).
The competition also aims to provide inspiration to new generations of entrepreneurs with the success stories of Turkey 100 companies.
- Who can enter?
Entrants of the Turkey 100 competition must be established prior to December 31st of 2011 with a sales revenue of at least 300,000TRY and at least 1 million TRY in 2015, entrants must have increased their sales revenue in 2012-2015 by at least 10%.
Companies with foreign partners may also compete as long as the headquarters of the company is located in Turkey. A foreign company with only an office in Turkey is not eligible.
Public partnerships and/or publicly traded companies, company or companies belonging to a public company with more than 51% of its shares publicly traded, profit nonprofit corporations, franchise businesses, car dealerships, banks and electricity, gas and water providers holding company are also eligible to enter the competition.
