2nd Adıyaman Building and Construction Expo launched

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the opening of the 2nd Adıyaman Building and Construction Expo held at the Adıyaman Congress and Expo Center.​

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated in his address that Adıyaman is one of the most important cities of Turkey, touching on the importance of the endeavors taking place in the city.

Drawing attention to the necessity of the construction sector in Turkey’s growth, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Construction is of the utmost importance for the world and Turkey. It is a matter which effects over 200 sectors. When the construction sector grows, 200 other sectors grow with it as a result. In the last 5 years, the share of constructions growth in Turkey’s growth rate is 15%. That is why it is key sector for us. That is why we must view construction as the driving force and strategic sector of Turkey.”

Stating that Turkish entrepreneurs who opened up to the world 30 years ago have written an extraordinary success story, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We are #2 in the construction sector globally, behind only China. We must remember that we are all in this ship together. That is why we must cooperate, consult and overcome all difficulties through common purpose. This is the time to work together for the benefit of our country.”

Pointing out that Adıyaman CCI is working hard to be the shining star of Turkey in textiles, the TOBB President said, “They’re also working to hone the marble sector into a strategic one. The commodity exchange has established an analysis lab while also working to make Adıyaman into a center of attraction for food and industrial trade.”

Customs and Commerce Minister Bülent Tüfenkci stated that the expo would provide significant advantages for the city’s economy.

Stating that they plan to invest more in Adıyaman, Tüfenkci emphasized the importance of marketing the goods produced.

Following the speeches TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu and Minister Tüfenkci toured the expo.
