02.04.2013 / Şanlıurfa

At the opening ceremony of the new service building of Şanlıurfa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ŞUTSO), M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of Union of the Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, said, “In the 10 years ahead, all economic targets will be achieved. All we need is peace. There will be no trade without peace. Trade will bring together richness. If you want to be rich, you will clear the way for trade. Trade needs one thing, which is peace.”

The new service building of Şanlıurfa Chamber of Industry and Commerce (ŞUTSO) was opened with a ceremony honored by M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TOBB, and Faruk Çelik, Minister of Labor and Social Security.

Stating that Şanlıurfa accounted for 17% of the employment of Southeast Anatolia, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that businessmen had to make more attempts to increase that figure further.

Pointing out that Şanlıurfa was the “shining star” of the region recently, Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TOBB, said, “Ankara and Baghdad are at same distance to this place.  In terms of flight duration, it is at the same distance to Istanbul and Tehran.   This is something marvelous for Şanlıurfa, the shining star of the region.  In the 10 years ahead, all economic targets will be achieved.  All we need is peace.   There will be no trade without peace. Trade will bring together richness.  If you want to be rich, you will clear the way for trade.  Trade needs one thing, which is peace. Thank God, it exists in Şanlıurfa. We are all focused on unity and togetherness.  For that, I congratulate you, now our way is clear.”

Pointing out that Şanlıurfa was lucky for having a minister like Faruk Çelik, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “They look for wise men. Know that you have the real “wise man”. A true conciliator, he has no nerves as if his nerves have been removed, I hope that a conciliation will be achieved.”

- “For the first time, it will a constitution written by the nation.”

Addressing the efforts on the new constitution, Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TOBB, said:  “They formed a Constitution Conciliation Commission at the Parliament without calculating votes, and all parties have equal number of representatives.  They said, ‘we will reach a common understanding', we said okay.  We completely support it.  They will take everybody’s sensitivity into account.   We hope the new constitution will be written in the framework of this understanding.  For the first time, it will a constitution written by the nation. This honor will be the privilege of this parliament.  If we can do it, we can start the construction of the system.  If we can do it, with Allah’s permission, we will make Turkey one of the first 10 democracies of the world at 100th Anniversary of the Republic.

-Hisarcıklıoğlu and Çelik attended a dinner

After the ceremony, Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TOBB, and Minister Çelik, paid a visit to Mehmet Aydın, Chairman of the Commodity Exchange Council, whose father passed away recently.

Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TOBB, and Minister Çelik then attended the dinner organized by Şanlıurfa TSO.

During his speech at the dinner, Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TOBB emphasized that investment in education would never go to waste.

Minister Çelik said that they were endeavoring to provide better education to everybody’s children.

Telling that the root cause of many problems stemmed from education, Çelik said:  “In the world, countries that have solved the education problem have in fact solved several problems.  Countries that have not solved the education problem, are countries that are tangled up in problems.  For that reason, if there is violence, cruelty and injustice in the world, if there are irresponsible actions, and there are problems in the family, we should know that the root cause is education.  If we desire a civilized and humanistic life, we should provide education suitable for the human nature.”
