10.08.2017 / Zonguldak

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “I want to share these good news: There are courageous people who build the domestic automobile, the car which will be Turkey’s brand.”

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu, speaking at the Zonguldak Economic Summit held by the Zonguldak Chamber of Commerce and Industry, 56% of the council members of the chambers participating in the survey which they conducted with the chambers in Zonguldak were using credit.

Hisarcıklıoğlu said that 58% of the 56% said that credit costs have increased, “They are 100% right. In the first six months of 2017, the profits of banks are almost 100% higher than the previous year. To the banks I say: If you profit so exorbitantly while we do not, we will object. We are all on the same ship. You need to act with your conscience. I issue a call to all the bankers. There is no such a profit in Turkey. These bankers need to check themselves.”

In reply to a request for Filyos Valley region as the site for the domestic automobile construction Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “If I were the one deciding that I would agree right away. When the President of the Republic asked for volunteers to build the domestic automobile, we have concluded our interviews with individuals and companies along with the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology. There are those who will meet this challenge.”

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that the most profitable sector in the world is software and that, “We are headed towards such a point that factories will no longer need human workers, trucks, buses, automobiles will no longer need human.”

Following the speeches, Zonguldak Chamber of Commerce and Industry members who pay high levels of institutional tax, income tax, those who lead in exports and employment as well as long-term economic contributions to the region received plaques.
