Turkish entrepreneurs in Moldova provided information regarding business opportunities, the business environment and the problems in Moldova during the meeting attended by the Turkish Ambassador to Moldova, Hulusi Kılıç.
Turkish contractors who have successfully completed projects totaling a volume of 280 million USD in the fields of hotel construction and operation, shopping center construction and operation, private hospital construction and operation, private school administration, textile industry, etc. are successfully fulfilling their task of bridging the two countries.
On the second day of the visit, Hisarcıklıoğlu and the delegation accompanying him met with Moldovan Democratic Party President Vladimir Plahotniuc and then with Moldovan Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
During talks, investment opportunities in Moldova were discussed in detail and Turkish investors were invited to continue investing in Moldova. Moldova's economic transformation process and future reform plans were discussed with emphasis on the importance of sharing the experiences of the Turkish business community.
Hisarcıklıoğlu later visited the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova. Hisarcıklıoğlu and Head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova Sergiu Harea discussed bilateral cooperation between the two countries' chamber systems and cooperation possibilities within the EUROCHAMBRES framework, emphasizing the importance of cooperation.
The TOBB delegation, following the talks in the capital Chisinau, also visited the autonomous region of Gagauz. The delegation met with Gagauzia President Irina Vlah, Rector of Komrat State University Dr. Serghei Zahari and students, followed by a visit to the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Nursing Home, which was modernized by TİKA.
