TOBB community has lost one its significant figure by the death of İbrahim Çağlar

Issuing a letter of condolences for the decease of İbrahim Çağlar Vice President of The Union of Chamber and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and also President of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that he was deeply sorry for the decease of Çağlar. “Our community has lost one its very significant figure. We are in deep sorrow. My brother İbrahim Çağlar’s services to the chamber and commodity exchanges and also his contribution to the economy as a businessman shall never be forgotten.”​

Hisarcıklıoğlu included followings within his message:

“I found out with great sorrow about the decease of my brother İbrahim Çağlar – TOBB Vice President and İTO President. Our country has lost its well-loved, precious and productive son at a very young age. Departure at a young age of my dear friend İbrahim Çağlar contributed in great deal to our economic and business life development is a great loss for all of us. In addition to his service to chamber and exchange commodity circle with his contribution to manufacturing and employment he is a personality who always shall be remembered in respect. Rest in peace. May Allah rest his soul. My condolences to his family and to our business world. ’’

TOBB Vice President and President of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce was born in 1960, in İstanbul Erenköy. In 1999 he took the post as Council Member in Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (İTO) 1999. During 2004-2009 serving as Vice President of İTO, he become the Council Chairman between the years of 2009-2013 and in 2013 took the office as İTO President.

Carrying out his duty as TOBB Vice President Çağlar also was the member of TOBB Educational and Cultural Foundation, and TEPAV Board of Trustees.
