You have everything you need to earn more. The infrastructure lacks nothing. Samsun provides the most medical equipment for the health sector. Hopefully its fair grounds will be opened in May. The Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a accredited 5 star chamber, bringing you the same service as any chamber in Paris, London or Berlin. - The works of chambers

Hisarcıklıoğlu spoke of the effort Hayati Yazıcı has expended in opening the way for the private sector in regards to the changes made to the Turkish Trade Law.

Hisarcıklıoğlu, in reply to questions regarding what the chambers do said, “I’ll give you just one example of what the chambers and exchanges do. Prior to the enactment of the new Turkish Trade Law, chambers and exchanges compiled a report which indicated that the private sector would be afflicted with a burden of 6 billion TL. I worked together with the Ministers to address these issues. At the end, the changes made saved entrepreneurship from a burden of 6 billion TL.

- No more shots in the dark for forward sales

Touching on the issues regarding checks, Hisarcıklıoğlu remarked that banks can see the credit record of the people who apply for credit; for those who take part in forward sales, they will have the same option when selling goods on credit. Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that a membership to the system is necessary from the chamber.

Hisarcıklıoğlu urged businessmen to take advantage of the UMEM Ability’10 project, stating that they provide vocational training to those without jobs and also lowering the employment costs to the employer by 19%. Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that the companies which take advantage of this project the most are foreign capital companies and issued a call for all companies to partake of its advantages.

Stating that, 30 years ago, Turkey exported 5 agricultural goods, Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that the exports volume for that era was 3 billion USD. Emphasizing that Turkey has become an industrial goods exporter, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We export a total of 152 billion USD. 92% percent of our exports are industrial goods. This is extraordinary. We accomplished this in 30 years.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu went on:

Thirty years may seem like a long time in a person’s life but it is the blink of an eye in the history of a nation. How did we do it? The late Özal was the person who opened the way for us. We did not appreciate him enough. We have not been blessed with petroleum or natural gas but we do have a great enterprising spirit.”
