Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his message:

“One of the sectors which achieved the largest growth potentials in our country in the last ten years is the insurance sector.

Nobody can be sure what tomorrow will bring. That is why we must take precautions before, not after, the fact. We all know that it is very difficult to earn money in the business world. In addition to working all day and night in order to stay in completion with our competitors we must also invest in equipment and technology. It becomes increasingly important under these circumstances to insure these values.

It should not be forgotten that the insurance system shares the risks of the businessmen and citizens, not the profits. It is impossible to gloss over the importance of this sector which enables our business life to function and shares only our risks.

It has become our shared goal to increase our exports volume to 500 billion USD by the centennial anniversary of the foundation of our Republic, 2023. We are a country which has the capacity, means and the geographical advantage to achieve this goal by producing and laboring together. However, we must also take necessary steps to actualize this potential. The insurance sector will be one of the most important factors in reaching these goals.

As the twig is bent, so grows the tree. That is why we must educate our newer generations very well. As we train the young minds, the businessmen and entrepreneurs of the future, we must also teach them the alternatives for minimizing risk.

It is with these thoughts and feelings that I celebrate the Insurance Week of the insurance agencies and insurance experts organized under our Union as well the whole business community and congratulate the workers and citizens of the insurance sector.”
