August 30th is the declaration of our power and independence to the world

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his message regarding the August 30th Victory Day that this day is the sign of the independence and unity of the Turkish people and that, “The history of this country which never submits to persecution and injustice is filled with victories of those who value independence over their lives. August 30th is the most meaningful message to the whole world.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu's message is as follows:
“We are celebrating with great pride the 96th anniversary of the Battle of the Commander-in-Chief, which began on August 26th and ended on August 30th with the victory of the Turkish army.
Our history shows that our nation will not and cannot live under the yoke of captivity.
The Battle of the Commander-of-Chief battle, won under the most difficult conditions, is the best example of this.
As the business community, it is our duty to produce more and to provide more employment in order to repay our debt of gratitude to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his brothers-in-arms, especially to all martyrs and everyone who contributes to this country.
We are aware of our target as well as our debt to our ancestors, and we are working with all our power, and we will continue to work.
On behalf of the Turkish business community, it is with these feelings and thoughts that I celebrate the August 30th Victory Day of our nation.”
