Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that council members come to office by election rather than by appointment. “Ours is the most difficult election. It is hardest to ask for votes from your rival for four years.”

Stating that these positions are not for profit, TOBB President said that everyone's aim is to make the city where they live more prosperous.

Emphasizing unity and solidarity, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “In unity there is prosperity and grace; anguish in dissent. We won't fight. As one, we win. When we're in trouble, we stand together; but when it gets a little better, the unity disappears. We should not do this.”

Stating that he is hopeful for the future, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that merchants and industrialists will never be hopeless. “Never alienate each other. A special request from you; Please your daughters with an entrepreneurial spirit. Support young people in entrepreneurship. Remember that the path to prosperity is through entrepreneurship.”
