TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu, speaking at the harvest, pointed out that one of the biggest problems experienced in Turkish hazelnut is increasing yield and quality, “What we should focus on after this rather than the price should be to increase the yield and quality we get per acre from hazelnuts. The studies and efforts made in recent years are promising. We are moving towards a new understanding of hazelnuts, planting a new hazelnut and obtaining products. This will lead to revenues from $2 billion to $6 billion to Turkey.”
