The victory of August 30 is a day of pride in our history

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stressed in a message issued on August 30th Victory Day that this historic day is the clearest expression of our nation's independence and will to live together. “Our history has shown that our nation has not lived under the yoke of anyone, in captivity, and cannot. The Battle of the Commander-in-Chief, which was won under the most difficult conditions, is the best example of this.”
TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu stated in his message:
“August 30th, 1922 is the date when it was announced that our nation would never give up its independence. This great victory is a day of pride for all of us. We have to uphold the beautiful history and values that our ancestors brought us.
Our nation has never lived or lived under anyone's yoke. With this awareness, the most important task that falls to us representatives of the business world is to grow the economy of our country and to keep our appetite for employment and investment alive at all times.
I state once again that we will work hard to be worthy of all our martyrs and veterans who sacrificed their lives for our future and especially Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who laid the foundations of the opportunities we have today, and I celebrate the Victory Day of our entire nation on August 30th.”
