The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu opened the TOBB UYUM Compliance and Mediation Center at the Karadeniz Ereğli Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Hisarcıklıoğlu then attended the Karadeniz Ereğli Chamber of Commerce and Industry Consultation Meeting. After the meeting, Hisarcıklıoğlu toured the land where the school will be built by TOBB in Karadeniz Ereğli.

Hisarcıklıoğlu, who spoke at the consultation meeting, stated that he came to Karadeniz Ereğli for the seventh time and said that Ereğli is the district of the future with its steel, strawberries and historical plane trees. Stating that Karadeniz Ereğli is the most developed district of Zonguldak and a district where industry, agriculture and tourism develop, the TOBB President emphasized that 40% of Turkey's steel needs are met from Karadeniz Ereğli. Reminding that there are three companies from Karadeniz Ereğli among the top 500 industrial enterprises of Turkey, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “I would like to thank Chamber President Arslan Keleş and his management, council, secretary general and our working brothers who work for the development of Karadeniz Ereğli. Karadeniz Ereğli provides services at the same standards as CCIs in Paris, Berlin and London Chambers. It is a 5-star accredited chamber.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they have requested many times to provide vocational education to the chambers, and that 116 vocational high schools across Turkey are patronized by chambers and commodity exchanges affiliated to TOBB, and a vocational high school in Karadeniz Ereğli is patronized by Karadeniz Ereğli CCI. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that while the occupancy rate in vocational high schools under the auspices of chambers and commodity exchanges affiliated to TOBB is 97%, the occupancy rate in vocational high schools under the auspices of the state is at the level of 70%, “The nation trusts you. Our children who go to schools believe that there will be a job guarantee.”

Stating that there are problems all over Turkey and that unity and solidarity are needed more than ever, Hisarcıklıoğlu advised the members of the Karadeniz Ereğli CCI not to marginalize anyone because of their political opinions, ethnicities, sects and different opinions.
