In his speech here, Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that today is a historic day for the İstanbul Chamber of Industry and said, “Our chambers are the main representative offices. It is the authority to provide the highest quality service to our real sector. Moreover, when it comes to İstanbul, all these issues are much more important.”

Emphasizing the importance of İstanbul in terms of industry, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “It is enough to share a single data point. According to our industrial database, about 4,000 different industrial products are manufactured in our country. With 1,852 of them, 46%, İstanbul is in the top 3 in terms of installed production capacity.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu said that the İstanbul Chamber of Industry, developing and increasing its activities every year, with its institutional capacity, has duly fulfilled its responsibility to be the main representation mechanism of industrialists.

Stating that İSO's research of the largest industrial companies is a unique reference source for Turkey, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “This comprehensive study, which best determines the situation of our industry, sheds light on everyone from the public to the private sector and the academic world. İSO's work in the fields of innovation, environment, technology, industrial zones and university-industry cooperation also brings new horizons and opportunities to our industrialists. The trainings and seminars you organize in many areas especially support the development and growth of our SMEs. All this is a modern service concept befitting the chief city of the industry. It is a vision work that aims at much higher quality service to our industrialists.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that he is proud of the İstanbul Chamber of Industry, which fulfills its great responsibility in the best way, its 70-year successful history and performances, and congratulated the architects of this success, especially İSO President Erdal Bahçıvan, the Management, the Assembly, the Secretary General and its employees, and everyone past and present who has brought İSO to its current position by their hardwork.
