TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu, who made a speech at the ceremony hosted by Kırklareli Commodity Exchange President Turhan Altıntel, thanked Kırklareli, one of the important centers of animal husbandry in Thrace, and the President of the Commodity Exchange Altıntel, who won this work.

Stating that Kırklareli Commodity Exchange is one of the exemplary commodity exchanges, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “It offers the best service to producers and members they need. Already accredited exchange. In other words, it is documented that it offers you 5-star service. We are working together with Turhan President at TOBB in Ankara. He is under the management of the UMAT company, which was founded in 1937 on the instructions of our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. We benefit from his knowledge and experience there as well.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that as TOBB, they have taken important steps for the development of the country's agricultural markets and will continue to do so, and said, “We have implemented TMO-TOBB LİDAŞ in order to store agricultural products safely. Thus, by taking the first step in our country, we pioneered the increase of licensed warehouse investments of the private sector. We have invested in a warehouse of 60,000 tons in Babaeski. Thanks to the licensed warehouse, in addition to security storage, we have facilitated the access of producers to finance and ensured that industrialists can easily access raw materials. On top of the system that forms the basis of the licensed warehouse, we established TÜRİB – Product Specialized Exchange. Thus, in agricultural products, we started the commodity exchange. Now, we ensure that the prices of the products we produce are determined in a healthier way. Let us always keep in mind that agriculture and animal husbandry are sectors that will never lose their importance. We have to consume in order to live, and the agriculture and livestock sector will meet this. Look, the world's population has become 8 billion, and the middle class in the world is growing more and more every day. The older it gets, the more it consumes. On the other hand, we have seen the importance of being a self-sufficient country during the pandemic period. That is why the work you do here is strategically important. We can never neglect agriculture and animal husbandry. On the other hand, our costs have increased considerably in the recent period. We are meeting with our relevant ministers to take measures on these issues. Together, Allah willing, we will overcome this turbulent period.”
