In addition to Hisarcıklıoğlu, Kırklareli Governor Birol Ekici, Trakya Development Agency Secretary General Mahmut Şahin and chamber commodity exchange presidents and business world representatives from the surrounding provinces attended the meeting hosted by Kırklareli CCI Chairman Soner Ilık.

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu stated in his speech that 93 percent of Turkey uses mobile devices, “63 percent is on social media. We are among the countries that use social media platforms the most in the world. We know and follow every development in the digital world. But we use all these technologies not to produce work, to develop our business, but mostly to produce words. We want to turn this around, to move entrepreneurs and SMEs to the digital environment to do business. Because that's where the world goes. Now everyone is shifting their business, trade, social life to the virtual environment.”

Reminding that the world population is about 8 billion, the TOBB President stated that there are 5 billion mobile device users, 4.5 billion internet users and 3.5 billion social media users. Stating that these figures continue to increase rapidly, Hisarcıklıoğlu said: “In Europe and America, 95 percent of the population has access to the internet. On average, he spends 6 hours a day on the Internet. We need to adapt without missing this change. Thus, we can reach the whole world with a single button. As TOBB, we aim at the digitalization of the private sector and the development of the new generation of entrepreneurship and we are working for this. We produce projects in this context with the world's largest global technology companies. We collaborated with Facebook in this center. Because Facebook, with its number approaching 3 billion, is the world's largest social platform. More than 80 million SMEs also have pages. Therefore, Facebook offers good opportunities for inter-company trade and reach out to consumers. As TOBB, we wanted our entrepreneurs to use this giant platform better. Here we have everything that the new generation of entrepreneurs need. Facebook Station is a great opportunity to reach information and customers, to network. This will also pave the way for our businesses to reach the global market. It will host workshops on the digital environment. The station's programs will be open to everyone. Most importantly, all activities here will be free.
