Sinop Chamber of Commerce and Industry visits Hisarcıklıoğlu

22.11.2022 / ANKARA

Sinop Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Salim Akbaş and Assembly Speaker Sedat Çınar visited the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu at his office with their delegation.

At the reception, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu wished success for the new term efforts and conveyed his good wishes.

Salim Akbaş, in his statement after the visit, gave the following opinions: “This will be my second term. Previously, as a member of the board of directors 4.5 years ago, we tried to produce services for the province of Sinop and in the duties given by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye. It means that we have produced good service and our members have shown kindness and deemed us worthy of this duty again. We have set the goal of doing the task given to us in the best way with the new management we have formed. Today, we have consulted with our President on these issues. We aim to come more often in the coming days and resolve many issues through consultation.

In my private meetings with the President of Rifat, I said the following: I have indexed my leadership to him regarding my Presidency. Because I learned that the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges is a family with the support it gave us in hard times. As you will remember, we experienced a great flood disaster in Ayancık about 1.5 years ago. We suffered a very serious loss of life and property. At that time, the fact that all the chamber exchange presidents of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges helped and supported us like a family member really touched and made us proud. Therefore, considering that we have received this power from our President, Mr. Rifat, I think that my term of service will be parallel to Mr. Rifat. I don't think he will have opposition in the elections to be held next May, but even if he does, we will walk the path with my beloved President. I hope for the May election to be auspicious.”
