Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Ankara Chamber of Commerce visits Hisarcıklıoğlu

22.11.2022 / ANKARA

Gürsel Baran, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ankara Chamber of Commerce, visited the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu at his office with the accompanying delegation.

At the reception, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu wished success for the new term efforts and conveyed his good wishes.

Gürsel Baran, in his statement after the visit, gave the following opinions: “We have left behind a difficult process. Actually, by the difficult process, I mean that compared to the past years, as far as I understand in our Chamber elections, there was an incredible interest in Türkiye and in Ankara. There was a lot of demand. There was competition in almost all of our 68 committees. This made us very happy. We are in a difficult region. Trading here is very difficult. Let the friends who will be able to shoulder this work in their sectors, who will be able to devote time to this work and who are the doyens of this business, take part in the professional committees and in our parliament. To a large extent, we have achieved this. I hope that in the next 4 years, with good team work, we will give them the help and support we can as morale and respite for all the steps that need to be taken regarding the problems and troubles of our 160,000 members and whatever we can. Hopefully we will have a successful 4 years.

President Rifat is the President of all Presidents of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges all over Turkey. We are also the president of President Rifat. Because President Rifat is also our council member. The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges is an incredible umbrella organization. I say it for myself. I have my home everywhere in Turkey. Wherever we have a problem in Turkey, our president there is with us. There is an incredibly beautiful family. President Rifat has love and respect from all our presidents. I believe that this team will carry the country's economy to a much higher level. I care about this family very much.”
