Under the ‘Prisons are Reading Project' TOBB donated 500 sets of books which contained selected literature from Turkey and  the World. ​
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, said that they would like to support development of the people who have to stay in prisons and contribute to broadening their horizons, at a press meeting organized for this event.
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, along with Justice Minister Sadullah Ergin participated in the promotion of ‘Prisons are Reading Project' at TOBB Headquarters in Ankara.
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said that “We are here for a very good purpose. We will enrich the libraries that are present in 380 prisons in Turkey. If there is no library, we will build a new one. Through this we will broaden the horizons of those who have to stay in prison.
Justice Minister Sadullah Ergin indicated that education is a Universal right. He also said, “Right for education and the need to read is a basic right of those who are in prison and whose freedom is limited for a certain period due to court decision. '' Â
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu presented a plaque to the Justice Minister Sadullah Ergin as a token of the ceremony.
