Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

At the reception, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu wished success for the new term efforts and conveyed his good wishes.

Mahmut Fırat, in his statement after the visit, gave the following views: “We spent the election process very comfortably because we have been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Adıyaman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and various positions in the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye for a long time. It was a success. We have done this in order to take our new generation of young productive friends into our parliament and leave our place to them. We have a General Assembly in May, as we do every year. I hope that our General Assembly will experience the greatness we experienced in our own chamber in Adıyaman. Our Rifat President has been the President of the Union of Chambers for a very long time. I also remember the period when Mr. Hisarcıklıoğlu was not there. We seemed to have the status of an association. People did not know exactly what the Union was. After many years, as a result of President Rifat’s very intense efforts, there was no one who did not hear the name of the Union of Chambers even in the most remote corners of Türkiye by putting it on top of each other every day. Because of these services, he has no night or day. 50 percent of his life is spent abroad and 50 percent of his life is spent in these struggles at home. He informs us about the problems we have communicated even at one or two o'clock in the night. My general opinion is that we will be united once again under his leadership. I wish you continued success.”
