The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and Togg Chairman M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır handed over two white-colored vehicles named after Pamukkale to Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhammedov at a ceremony.

Previously delivered to Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, Togg's new destination was Turkmenistan. Hisarcıklıoğlu and Minister Kacır handed over the two white Toggs to Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhammedov at the opening ceremonies of the Arkadağ Smart City.

While the presence of two different Toggs at the ceremony was highly appreciated, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was also thanked.

The received Toggs attracted great interest from Turkmenistanis. In accordance with Turkmenistan traditions, women dressed in local clothes carried the incense of hyssop around the vehicles to protect them from the evil eye. “Alaca,” an amulet made of camel wool, was also tied to the steering wheel of the Toggs. Flour was sprinkled on the vehicle to bring prosperity.

Turkmen ministers were also present at the delivery ceremony. Berdimuhammedov tested Togg's T10X model and said he liked the car very much.

- “Togg will continue to be appreciated all over the world”

In his speech at the ceremony, Minister Kacır stated that with the appreciation of President Erdoğan, they brought two Togg cars to be presented to Turkmenistan and the President of the People's Assembly.

Pointing out that it is very meaningful to present Togg vehicles, which are smart devices created by Turkish engineers, at the opening ceremony of a smart city, Kacır said, “We are proud to deliver Togg cars to Turkmenistan after Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. I hope that in the coming period, Togg vehicles will continue to be highly appreciated not only in Türkiye, but also all over the world, especially in the Turkic Republics and our brotherly geographies.”

- Turkmenistan's first smart city inaugurated

On the other hand, as part of the Turkmenistan program, “Arkadağ” city, which was built in accordance with the “smart city” concept using advanced technologies in Turkmenistan, was inaugurated.

The opening ceremony of the “Arkadağ” city, located 30 kilometers southwest of the capital Ashgabat, was attended by Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, senior executives from nearly 50 countries, representatives of diplomatic missions in the country, members of the press and many guests.
