In his speech at the program, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that the Ünye Chamber of Commerce and Industry broke new ground, switched to the ‘Green Energy’ system, being one of the chambers that will be an example to the world and produces its own energy.

Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “With the mediation center of our chamber, which we will also open, we bring another service to your feet. The common complaint of all of us is the slow functioning of the judicial system. In Türkiye, a case takes an average of 2 years in the first instance court. Afterwards, it goes to a higher court, which means that at least 4 years are needed for the delivery of the right. This is where alternative solutions have to come into play. There are solutions that exist in our culture, but unfortunately we have forgotten about them and then they were discovered by the West. What are these? In the past, there used to be ahi quarry. When merchants and its members had problems, they would go to the Akhi council and the Akhi senior would solve the problems. Unfortunately, the West has discovered this beautifully. It presents it to the public as arbitration and mediation. In all the West and America, the place of solutions is the reconciliation between the people themselves; this is mediation,” he said.

“The defendant and the plaintiff come together, they finally come to an agreement, and at the end they part by giving their rights. Can there be a better morality than this?” Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Now many of our issues are resolved here. Nearly 11,000 files were resolved without going to court and without waiting for 4 years. When we look at the priorities here, employee and employer cases, our biggest complaint was the late operation of this place and the unfair decisions made by the court here. Now, we have become separated by making peace. Both sides give each other their rights. In this context, the ground has expanded, including many commercial cases have now come to mediation. The top of this is arbitration, if there is no agreement here, if they automatically say ‘Let’s apply to TOBB with arbitration,’ the court decision is over in 3 months and the court does not take 4 years, and the cost is half and half. I hope that our mediation center will be beneficial.”

Cemil Çiçek, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TOBBUYUM, said, “Where there are people, there will be conflicts, and there are ways and methods to establish peace and domestic tranquility. They are resolved through the judiciary, through the court. The judiciary is the sign of independence of a state. Trust in the judiciary is trust in the state. Since we want our work to take a short time, we have introduced the mediation system with the support of Mr. Hisarcıklıoğlu.When we have disputes, we apply to the mediation system. If we understand well what mediation means, the problems will be solved in a short time. Because the decision made here is the same as the decision made by the court.”

Ünye Chamber of Commerce and Industry President İrfan Akar pointed out that they are taking strong steps towards the future and said, “Today, we are not only opening our center here, but we are also taking strong steps towards the future. As Ünye Chamber of Commerce and Industry, we are opening our mediation and arbitration center in the presence of our TOBB President and President of World Federations in order to produce various solutions and to do useful work in the business world. Recently, one of the most important problems of our region was the ‘K Certificate’ and digital tachograph problem, we conveyed this to our president and he did not disappoint us and gave us the opportunity to offer these opportunities to our region. Another important issue is that we have delivered our 8-class kindergarten and handed it over to the Directorate of National Education.”

After the speeches, plaques were presented to the people according to the commercial balance sheet profit ranking in 2023, and then the Ünye Chamber of Commerce and Industry Arbitration and Center was opened.
