The President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Ordu Commodity Exchange and consulted with the members of the Assembly.

In his speech during the visit, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that he knows the problems experienced by the business world and that he conveyed the demands to the government.

Emphasizing that there are problems in the economy, but the target is to go down to single-digit inflation, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “After going down to single-digit inflation, both pensioners, our working brothers and sisters and the business world will be able to see their way forward. It is not possible to calculate anything in high inflation. The biggest disease is this high inflation.”

Pointing out that they support the recent steps taken by the government, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We want single-digit inflation as soon as possible, as in 2006, 2007 and 2008. Because the solution to the financial and cost problems of the business world is single-digit inflation.”

Explaining that bank managers used to queue up at the door and ask to give loans, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Now, on the contrary, we are in the queue in front of the managers. In the past, they used to come to us.”

Evaluating Türkiye's removal from the gray list of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “One of the important steps Türkiye took was to get out of this gray list. Praise Allah, we have overcome this, too. It is very easy to get in and very difficult to get out. You can only get out with the unanimous vote of all the countries here. This means that we have taken the right steps and got out of the gray list.”

Referring to the importance of Ordu-Giresun Airport, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “I also contributed a little to the construction of this airport. We had some difficulties, but praise Allah, Ordu and Giresun provinces have a common airport.”

Drawing attention to the Samsun-Sarp Railway Project, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “This is very important. From now on, as long as there are these people in the Black Sea, you will have this railroad built. The heads of chambers and commodity exchanges are already working together from Samsun to Hopa.”
