Stating that Silifke yogurt is the 30^th product to receive a geographical indication registration the EU, Hisarcıklıoğlu said:

“I congratulate Silifke and our country. I congratulate Nurettin Kaynar, the President of Silifke Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the board of directors, the council and everyone who contributed to our local values. We have a diversity of products that few geographies in the world are blessed with. As TOBB and the chamber-exchange community, we are making great efforts for local and geographically marked products. We are working on 70 geographical indications and 3 traditional product names for which the EU process is ongoing.”
