Hisarcıklıoğlu, speaking at the Niğde University graduation ceremony, stated that the world is changed and a youth graduating from Niğde Univeristy may very well have to compete against German engineers, Indian software developers or China’s entrepreneurs.

In the globalized world, Turkey’s greatest needs lie with entrepreneurs said Hisarcıklıoğlu; “This country’s greatest need is young entrepreneurs. Every year 750,000 people join the work force. We have to find jobs for 750,000 each year. There is but one formula for this and that is by increasing our entrepreneurs.  That is why I urge you to become entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship is much easier than it used to be for us, for our time. Before, when you asked what was needed for an enterprise you got one answer. Money. In this day and age you don’t need money. Three things are very important if you wish to succeed. Never give up on dreaming. Turn your dream into a goal and never waver. There may be ups and downs and you may fail to reach your goal but never give up trying.”

Visiting the Niğde Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Hisarcıklıoğlu held a press conference.

Reminding those at the conference that he had come to Niğde from Mexico, “There are 14,000 local chambers in the world. There have been 7 World Chambers Congresses to date. Turkey has been host to the 5th. Now we have attended the one in Mexico.”

Reporting that Mexico is a very large economy and the relations between Turkey and Mexico and nowhere near enough, Hisarcıklıoğlu went on, “When you consider our goal to be one of the 10 largest economies in the world, we can’t do it by not trading with the world’s largest economies. That’s why we have looked for ways to improve our economic relations.The Mexican President attended the opening ceremony. He himself visited only 1 booth and that was Turkey’s booth. He wore a Turkish and Mexican flag pin. He said that he would be visiting Turkey in the future. This is important for us.

Mexico is a rich country, I bemoan the fact that we are not here. It was my first there, our Turkish businessmen know opportunities well. Because that is a country of opportunities. With the USA right next door. You could market whatever you desired and costs are low. We want our businessmen to take advantage of these opportunities.”
