TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Ankara Industry Chamber (ASO) President Nurettin Özdebir as well as many other guests attended the opening of the store which offers furniture and accessories of unique design.

Hisarcıklıoğlu, taking note of the rain, said in his speech; “On a day of such abundance do we open a new door for abundance together.”

Stating that they place great importance on women entrepreneurs as TOBB, Hisarcıklıoğlu; “Success stories like Mrs. Daştan should provide a role model for young women. We are ready to support our women entrepreneurs in any way possible, and indeed we are doing just that. We have established Turkey’s most populous women’s organization. The media should provide more coverage of our women’s successes.”

ASO President Nurettin Özdebir in his speech during the opening ceremony said that, “Today is an important day for us. It is very important for Turkey’s development that the untapped women half of the workforce has opened a new establishment. These kinds of enterprises should be an example for all our women.

Expressing their wish to increase the number of women entrepreneurs, Özdebir stated that they put great importance on Siteler’s becoming a brand for furniture again.

Ankara Women Entrepreneurs Council President Sevgi Daştan said that they marketed what they themselves produced, “I hope that this opening proves to be bountiful just as the day is rainy.”

After the opening ceremony TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, assessing the election results; “The most advanced mode of governance is democracy. If you believe in democracy then you must respect the manifestation of the people’s will, regardless of how it turns out. The people have shown their will. Everyone, both inside and outside the country must respect this.

We must look to the future now. Turkey has set its goal. To be one the 10 largest economies in the world by 2023, the centennial anniversary of our Republic. This means that not only must the country be richer but so must the people in it. This means the current income must double. This is the goal. In pursuit of this we should be consulting our road map and following it. The consensus is that in order to realize this, a new constitution is a must.”

Stating that this has been what they have been saying as the leader of the Turkish business world for 11 years, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that they were glad that this consensus has been reached at last. “If we are able to prepare a new constitution without bringing harm to Turkey’s unity and solidarity, not only will we provide hope for not only our country but the Balkans, the Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa.” Stating that this is the headline of their agenda for the immediate future, Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed his wish that the issue be resolved in the spirit of unity and solidarity.
