Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Hisarcıklıoğlu, after his TOBB Vice-Presidency, took office as president on June 16, 2001. During his ten years in office the TOBB President has taken part in many nation and international civil society organizations.

Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu is still EUROCHAMBRES Vice-President, CACCI (Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry) Council member, ICCI (Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry) Vice-President, elected in 2009.

Hisarcıklıoğlu was the Association of Balkan Chambers (ABC) President between 2007 and 2008; Economic Partnership Organization Commerce and Industry Chamber (EİT TSO) President between 2007 and 2010.

During his ten years as TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu received awards from many countries and organizations on various occasions. As well as acting as TOBB President, Hisarcıklıoğlu has taken on many other duties, such as; President of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK); President of the World Turkish Business Council (DTİK); TOBB Economy and Technology University Board of Trustees President; Turkey Chambers and Commodity Exchanges Education and Culture Trust Board of Trustees and Board of Director President; Turkey Economy Policies Research Trust (TEPAV) Board of Trustees and Board of Director President; Economic and Social Council Member; Installation, Construction and Industry Suppliers Consultative Council Member; Turkey Scientific and Technologic Research Council (TÜBİTAK), Science and Technique Board of Directors Member; UNICEF Turkey National Committee High Consultative Council Member; Turkey/EU Joint Consultation Committee (KİK) Member, International Chamber of Commerce Turkey National Committee (ICC Turkey) President; World Chambers Federation (WCF) General Council Member; “Partners for a New Beginning – Turkey” Turkey President; CSIS-TOBBABD-Turk Contact Group (CUTCG) Co-President; Ankara Forum and Istanbul Forum President.
