In his message regarding the heinous attack in Diyarbakır which resulted in the death of 13 and wounded 7 of our soldiers, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that terror was a crime against humanity and that those who committed it would not be allowed to threaten the unity and solidarity of this country, but would go down in history as the perpetrators of these vile acts.
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated in his speech;
“To our great sorrow we have been informed that 13 of our soldiers, 3 of them non-commissioned experts, have been killed and 7 wounded in the Silvan county of Diyarbakır.
I believe I will be able to translate into words the feelings these news have engendered in the hearts of millions: There can be no explanation or any no place in humanity’s conscience to seek the lives of our Mehmetçik. These acts will never achieve any goal for any cause.
These vile acts which target the unity and solidarity of our nation have been answered with the unswerving unity and solidarity of our people throughout the years and will continue to be answered so.
On behalf of the Turkish business world, I condemn this atrocity. I pray for the grace of Allah upon the martyrs and present my condolences to their loved ones and our nation and wish for speedy the recoveries of our wounded veterans.”
