Eastern Anatolia Region Consultation Meeting was held at the TOBB Union Center. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu presided over the meeting during which the problems of the region were assessed and ideas were exchanged.​

Along with TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu; TOBB Board Vice President Faik Yavuz, TOBB Board Members Fahrettin Akyıl and Çetin Osman Budak, Ağrı Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TSO) President Dağdağan, Elazığ TSO President Lütfi Yücelik, Oltu TSO President Baki Karaca, Yüksekova TSO President Sabih Kayhan, Kars TSO President Ali Güvensoy, Kars Commerce Exchange (TB) President İsmet Çelik, Muş TSO President Şehmus Sinecem, Tunceli TSO President Abdülkadir Arslan, Ardahan TSO President Latif Tosunoğlu, Iğdır TSO President Kamil Arslan and TOBB Secretary General Mustafa Saraçöz attended the meeting.
Listening to the views of the Chamber and Exchange Presidents, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that the most important property of Turkey was the dynamism of the private sector in his speech and that these consultation meetings would be held in every province to discuss the problems and expectations of those provinces.


Providing information on TOBB’s work and exchanging views, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that TOBB is the most democratic institution in Turkey. Requesting that women and young entrepreneurs be supported, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out the importance of increasing the number of women and young entrepreneurs for the country to grow richer.


Stating that TOBB’s infrastructure is shown as an example by the OECD, Hisarcıklıoğlu called for the chamber and exchange presidents to make use of opportunities such as ABİGEM, Credit Guarantee Fund, KOBİ Ltd. and promoting the UMEM Ability’10 project in their respective provinces.
