The President of the Republic of Turkey, Abdullah Gül welcomed the representatives of 13 nongovernmental organizations lead by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.​

The meeting which took place in Çankaya Manor, closed to the press, lasted half an hour. In the committee were Türk-İş President Kumlu, TESK President Bendevi Palandöken, TZOB President Şemsi Bayraktar, TİSK Deputy President Tandoğan Tokgöz, Turkey Bars Union President Vedat Ahsen Coşar, Kamu-Sen President İsmail Koncuk, Memur-Sen President Ahmet Gündoğdu, Turkey Notaries Union President Fahri Köse, TÜRMOB President Nail Sanlı, Turkish Veterinarians Union President Mehmet Alkan and Tursab Board President Başaran Ulusoy.
During the meeting Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed the sadness felt as a result of the recent terror attacks and stated that they will act in unison against terror as the platform formed by the NGOs.
Approving the enterprise, President Gül congratulated the NGO representatives on their sensitivity.
TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu informed Gül of the work done regarding the new constitution with feedback from the civilians.
