TOBB Turkey Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Council visited the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yıldız led by TOBB Board Accounting Member İlhan Parseker.​

 

Also present during the meeting were TOBB Turkey LPG Council President Yağız Eyüboğlu, Vice Presidents Rasim Kahyaoğlu, Semih Genç and Yılmaz Cömert, Energy and Natural Resources Ministry Undersecretary Sefa Aytekin and Strategy Development President Doğanbey Akgül.

- “The lower tax for environmentally friendly vehicles approach should also be implemented for LPG”

TOBB Turkey LPG Council President Yağız Eyüboğlu stated that they view the support for tax reductions to environmentally vehicles and products by various ministries and that as LPG used for automobiles is an environmentally friendly fuel, it is supported by various incentives worldwide. He stated that they await additional regulations to the production, use and conversion of LPG vehicles in Turkey.

- “LPG vehicles should be in public vehicle parking spaces”

Council President Yağız Eyüboğlu stated 40% of vehicles in our country run on autogas and stated that permitting vehicles using LPG into public vehicle parking spaces would increase public trust. Also mentioned during the meeting was the possibility of considering LPG as an alternative fuel for the proliferation of energy diversity in the formation of energy policy.

- “Illegal calor gas refills in autogas stations must be prevented”

Drawing attention to the security and public health dangers of illegal refilling of calor gas in autogas stations, Eyüboğlu stated that there is also a significant tax evasion associated with the practice.
