Telecommunications Council discusses incentives

TOBB Turkey Telecommunications Council held its extended council meeting in İstanbul. During the meeting attended by Incentive Application and Foreign Capital Deputy General Director İsmet Salihoğlu, the matters of telecommunication-informatics-software sector and incentives were discussed as well as assessing the process of translating the results of R&D into marketable products.​

Also present at the meeting were TESİD President and Council Member Müjdat Altay, PARGE and PARMAŞ Foundation Companies General Director, AKDAN Consulting Founding Partner Nilüfer Arıak.

TOBB Turkey Telecommunications Council President Yusuf Ata Arıak stated that they have convened in order to ensure that the telecommunications, informatics and software sectors are acquainted with the new incentives and make active use of them.

Economy Ministry Incentive Application and Foreign Capital Deputy General Director İsmet Salihoğlu spoke about the new Incentive Law’s framework and its interaction with the telecommunication sector. Stating that there would be many new applications going into effect at the same time as the incentives law, Salihoğlu emphasized that the changes are to the sector’s benefit.
