TIR System Experiences shared with representatives of African countries

In the organization of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (BMAEK), the International Road Transport Association (IRU), the Organization of Islamic Cooperation-Islamic Trade Development Center (ICDT-OIC), the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB), the “African Countries TIR/eTIR, CMR/eCMR Training Workshop” was held on 28-29 June 2022 in Morocco with the participation of TOBB.
Experiences about the TOBB TIR System were conveyed to the participating country authorities with a presentation made by Ahmet Karakaş, Specialist of the Transportation and Logistics Systems Department, TIR Operations Directorate.
As a result of the workshop, positive steps were taken to encourage the participation of the countries of the region in the TIR and CMR Contracts and to open the Turkish private sector to new markets.
