TOBB Turkey Glass and Glass Products Industry Council convened under Council President Serdar Özer at the TOBB İstanbul Service Building. Council President Serdar Özer assessed the development in global and domestic economy in the first half of 2013 and stated that the slowing down in the Euro zone may effect global economy while the risks associated with global growth into the second half of the year.​

Stating that Turkey’s economy in the global scheme and that the greatest threats to it are the increasing current deficit and the rates of inflation. Developments in exporting were also discussed during the meeting with data being presented by Council President Özer.
A report will be compiled to be presented to the new council in order to enable it to be more effective.
