Solmaz Hisarcıklıoğlu laid to rest

Solmaz Hisarcıklıoğlu (81), the mother of M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, the President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), who passed away at the hospital where she was under treatment in Ankara, was laid to rest.​

The funeral ceremony for Hisarcıklıoğlu was held after the Friday prayer at the Ahmet Hamdi Akseki Mosque.


Attending the ceremony were TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and his relatives, CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, Chief of General Staff Gen. Hulusi Akar, 11th President of the Republic of Turkey Abdullah Gül, Minister of Culture and Tourism Nabi Avcı, Minister of Finance Naci Ağbal, Minister of National Defense Fikri Işık, Mayor Melih Gökçek, President of the Grand Unity Party (BBP) Mustafa Destici, former Parliament Speakers Cemil Çicek and Bülent Arınç, as well as chambers / exchange chairpersons, and many from business and political communities.


Solmaz Hisarcıklıoğlu was interred at the Cebeci Asri Cemetery after the ceremony.
