“Today, the article published in a newspaper with the title ‘Gül’s Party is Ready… The Leader of the New Party Will Be Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu…’ is completely fictitious and is based completely on imaginary and made-up scenarios.

I have been greatly saddened by the fact that my name has been used in this fashion.

I vehemently condemn this article.

We must be vigilant against unjust attempts to steer our country’s politics in recent days, and against fictitious scenarios aiming to embroil TOBB and myself as its President.

I’ve said the same thing ever since I was elected in 2001: Our politics is solely the solving of the problems of the private sector. It is the politics of economy.

The office which I represent aims bring solution the problems of the business community which harbors individuals from every political persuasion through mediating with our government and politicians.

Apart from this, I have no wish to participate in politics and have never had any wish for it. These sorts of news are figments of imagination as a whole.

I will continue to serve in the same capacity and conviction to solve the problems of the business community.

I respectfully declare to the public that I, reserving the right of legal action, issue a warning those who perpetrate to generate policy using TOBB or myself via these kinds of malicious and false news.”
