The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu celebrated the “Insurance Week” during the last week of May every year throughout the country with various activities in order to increase the general insurance awareness.

Hisarcıklıoğlu said the following in his message:

“One of the important indicators that determine the level of development of countries is the size of the insurance sector. Turkey has a private sector focused growing economy. Private sector is the driving force of investment, export and employment. In order for the private sector to develop in a healthy manner, the economic assets in our country must be insured. In addition to the factories, machinery and other values owned by the companies, the infrastructure assets of the country must also be insured. In this age where the number and variety of risks we face are increasing day by day, a strong insurance sector is needed for effective risk management. A strong insurance sector is the key to a stable development process.

Organized under the umbrella of our union, the agencies and experts, are making significant contributions to the development of a healthy insurance sector in Turkey. In order to spread the insurance and increase the insured rate in our country. In the case of damages, the experts have a large share in ensuring fairness between the insurance companies and the insured. As the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey we will continue to give every support we can, as always, so that both professions are able to look confidently to the future and ensure that members of the industry to make greater contributions to the sector.

With these feelings and thoughts, I congratulate the insurance business and the insurance experts who are organized under TOBB and all the employees who work in the sector.”
