Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his speech, stated that those who ask what the TOBB and Chamber-Commodity Exchanges do to focus on the success story of Filiz Akkaş.

Emphasizing that it is a moment of honor, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “A woman entrepreneur, Mrs. Filiz Akkaş, started a business from scratch. She worked hard, tirelessly. She improved herself and her business. Started with 3 people but provides employment to 35 people today. Carrying the production quality from contract manufacturing to top level. Becoming the official supplier of world giants. Becoming an example to all of our entrepreneurs with an emphasis on partnership culture. Combining forces with Pelin Özkal. another successful woman entrepreneur. In this way, they achieved a globally accepted quality standard. They are awarded many awards at home and abroad. Now they bring this beautiful production facility to our country. They trusted both themselves and their country. They showed that their hearts beat for this country.

They made the sacrifice and they have achieved admirable success.”

Stating that they are not lagging behind in taking on social responsibility, the TOBB President stated that Filiz Akkaş is a member of Kocaeli Chamber of Industry Council, a TOBB General Assembly delegate, TOBB EU Harmonization Commission member and Rapporteur.

Hisarcıklıoğlu, touching on the entrepreneurship life of Filiz Akkaş, continued: “Our Gebze Chamber of Commerce provided first great support to Mrs. Filiz Akkaş with the KOSGEB entrepreneurship course. Then, thanks to the UMEM course at our chamber, the company has provided qualified and qualified manpower. Afterwards, Kocaeli Chamber of Industry President Ayhan Zeytinoğlu showed great vision including Filiz Akkaş in the Chamber Council. It has also set an example role model for our women entrepreneurs.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they made a separate contribution as TOBB and said: “We started cooperation with CERN, European High Technology Center. Doing business at CERN is equivalent to doing business at NASA. CERN is the largest research center in Europe. It's where the internet was invented. In this way, for the first time, we opened the way for Turkish companies to sell goods here. MAPSİS, through the TOBB-CERN Turkey Office, joined the bidding and won. It succeeded to become one of CERN's suppliers. Thus, proving the quality of its production once again. Selling goods to CERN is already an immensely important reference globally. We are greatly proud of them.”

Pointing out that Filiz Aktaş's actions and success is a concrete example of the support TOBB and its Chambers/Exchanges provide to their members and entrepreneurs, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Let those who ask what the TOBB and Chamber-Commodity Exchanges do to focus on the success story of Filiz Akkaş. We will continue to stand by our members and entrepreneurs at every step of the way as we always have. In 81 provinces, we will continue to work non-stop to ensure that women entrepreneurs get more success stories so that new Filiz Akkaş’s will emerge.
