“The Republic is our most important shared value”

In his October 29th Republic Day message, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that our most important shared value that we have is the Republic, “As millions who love their country, who believe in independence and freedom, we will relay this sacred charge we have received from our ancestors it to new generations by taking moving further in the race of civilization.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated the following in his message:
“We are celebrating the 96th Anniversary of the declaration of our Republic, which is the most appropriate form of government for our character as stated by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, with pride and joy.
Declared following the War of Independence with the understanding that 'the sovereignty of the nation will be saved by the determination and will of the nation, the Republic is the best road map for us.
This is a declaration that we will live together in a brotherly manner, embrace democracy and that our main goal is to get ahead in the civilization race.
We will protect and relay to the next generations the Republic, which was founded as a work of great faith and vision in adversity after the War of Independence.
As in the example of the Operation Peace Spring initiated against treacherous plans at our border region, the attacks of terrorist organizations against the unity and integrity of our country have not and will not be left unanswered.
We, as the Turkish business world, will endeavor to make our country one of the largest economies on the road opened with the Republic.
With these thoughts, I wholeheartedly share the joy of this beautiful and meaningful day of our country on behalf of the Turkish private sector. Long live the Republic.”
