Hisarcıklıoğlu evaluated the agenda with Thrace Chamber/Exchanges

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Joint Thrace Regional Meeting of Chambers/Exchanges held via video conference.​

Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his speech here, during this difficult period, greater duties and responsibilities fall to Chambers and Exchanges, “We, by taking of bridging the business world and the government, convey the problems in the field as quickly as possible. As TOBB, every day, we continue to note our members’ problems. Mr. Cengiz Günay and I are working together on all these issues at the TOBB management. We are taking initiatives to sort the issues and talk to the Ministers one-on-one and solve them."

In March, when the outbreak began, Hisarcıklıoğlu recalled that they presented a 70-point set of proposals to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Tax and SSI payments in various sectors have been postponed. The scope of the short work allowance has been expanded, making work faster. A few days ago, our President extended both short work and unpaid leave support for another month. On the other hand, various loan packages for our companies have been implemented. Finally, we started the Breath Credits with Denizbank. 7.5% interest, no payments in 2020, payments begin in 2021.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that they continue to convey the problems and suggestions in consultation with the chambers/exchanges, “Here today we will relay to the relevant ministers personally every topic that you bring up today. Thus, we will solve some of the problems of our members, our community, and relieve them.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu noted that the restrictions have begun to be lifted, however that the outbreak is not over, only its spread has been reduced.
