M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), visited the Anıtkabir within the scope of the 79th General Assembly of TOBB, together with the TOBB General Assembly Council, TOBB Board Members, Councils, chambers, commodity exchange presidents and delegates, and paid homage in the presence of the Atatürk.

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu and TOBB General Assembly Chairman Hüseyin Çevik wrote the following in the Anıtkabir Honor Ledger:

“Great Atatürk,

We are here before you prior to our 79th General Assembly. As the executives and delegates of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye, we are working with all our strength to be worthy of the great goals of our nation and your cherished memory.

This year we are experiencing the excitement and happiness of the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of our republic. The Republic of Türkiye is the most beautiful partnership of millions of people who have shared destiny in these lands. It is the most cherished work.

We are the children of those who set out with the words, ‘The nation's independence will be saved by the nation's determination and resolve,’ and who built a new state from its ashes when it was said to be finished and exhausted.

Gains achieved through great struggles can only be preserved and maintained with the same determination and ownership.

Our duty is to work with all our strength to lead the Republic of Türkiye to a peaceful and prosperous future.

We have to make our country one of the world's largest economies and have a say in the world in every field in the future as we have done in the past. This is what befits us.

Great Atatürk,

We will protect the Republic you entrusted to us and your principles until the end. This homeland is the most sacred value of those who came before us as well as those who will come after us. We will continue to work tirelessly.

The Republic of Türkiye will remain eternal. May your soul rest in peace.”
