The structural work and training for the TİG system, which calculates the budget needs for permanent illnesses encoded on the system per patient for hospitals, in the hospitals working with the Social Security Institution (SSK) are still ongoing. One of the most important things needed in order to ensure that the systems works properly is personnel who can encode for the system in hospitals.

TOBB, in order to prevent private hospitals suffering because of this change in the healthcare system, is hosting clinical encoding trainings. TOBB Turkey Health Institutions Council and Ministry of Health are conducting the Diagnosis Based Groups (TİG) training program, which was held between the 23rd and 27th of May, 2011 in TOBB Social Facilities meeting hall. Providing information about the contents and the importance of the meeting, Ministry of Health officials stated that the TİG based payment system will also cover private hospitals in 2012. One of the most important steps in being able to transition into the TİG payment system is the training of qualified clinical encoders and the upcoming period will demand a significant amount of clinical encoders to be employed. For this reason the Ministry officials emphasized that all hospitals working with SGK partake in these trainings.
