Commerce bridge built between Vietnam and Manisa

The 38 businessmen who traveled to Vietnam and Cambodia, organized by the Manisa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, were greeted with great interest at Ho Chi Minh City.
Manisa Deputy Mayor Osman Ekşi, TOBB Vice President and Manisa Commerce and Industry Chamber Board President Bülent Koşmaz, Manisa Commerce and Industry Chamber Council President Tezcan Ödemiş, Manisa Commerce and Industry Board and Council members and businessmen met with Vietnamese businessmen at a specially organized business conference on the first day of their tour.
During the business conference which took place in Ho Chi Minh City, high level talks between the two countries were attended by the Vietnam Foreign Trade Undersecretary Mrs. Pho Nam Phuong and Vietnam Deputy Commerce Minister Mr. Tran Quang Huy, TOBB Board Vice President and Manisa Commerce and Industry Chamber Board President Bülent Koşmaz and Elgin Blood Foundation Board Vice President Gaye Akçen.
- “Distance is no bar to commerce”
Speaking at the conference about Manisa economy, Bülent Koşmaz stated that even though there is a distance of 7,000km between Vietnam and Turkey, these long distances in a shrinking world are no longer bar to establishing economic and commercial relations. He stated that the trade volume between the two countries is about to exceed 1 billion dollars. The Vietnam Undersecretary of Foreign Trade, Mrs. Pho Nam Phuong and Deputy Commerce Minister Mr. Tran Quang Huy stated that it was an honor to be hosting the Manisa business world in Vietnam.

After the introduction of both countries and the opening statements, Manisa and Vietnam businessmen met with their sector counterparts and took the first steps to commercial relations.
