Durable Consumer Goods Council discuss sectoral problems

TOBB Turkey Durable Consumer Goods Council was convened in Ankara under Council Chair Fatih Kemal Ebiçlioğlu.​

During 2016, the work prepared with regards to opinions and proposals of the Turkish Durable Consumer Goods Council and communicated to related institutions was shared. Attention was drawn to the importance of the home appliances industry, which is a sector of approximately 30 billion TRY, which exports 75% of its total sales. In order to develop an effective and efficient market monitoring system suitable for the conditions of Turkey, the workgroup committee created as a part of the council with the aim of preparing infrastructure recommendations and guidance provided information about the first meeting outputs and commission activities.


The meeting also had presentations on the Internet of Things (IOT) and Cyber ​​Security, giving information about the reflections of IOT-based attacks upon Turkey and the legal regulations expected to be developed.
