Faik Yavuz: Law is not the foundation of just the state but also the economy

TOBB Board Treasurer Faik Yavuz, President of the Supreme Court of Appeals Ismail Rüştü Cirit and President of the Justice Academy of Turkey Yilmaz Akçil attended the “Boundaries of legal review in regards to appeal examination of Supreme Court following appeal reform in Turkish law” symposium held at the TOBB Twin Towers.
Speaking at the opening of the symposium, Faik Yavuz stated that the legal system is the mainstay of the economy as well as the state. Yavuz provided information about the structure of TOBB, stating that TOBB is the greatest representation mechanism of business in Turkey and said, “Geographically, with Chambers and Commodity Exchanges in 81 provinces and 160 counties, and with 60 Turkish Sector Assemblies covering all sectors, we keep a close on the pulse of the private sector. We see their troubles instantly and work with our government to solve them. As the real sector, we have always given great importance to consulting with you.”
