- Harun Karacan: I wish for the success of your newly elected government.

Wishing for the success of the newly elected Romanian government for the prosperity of the Romanian people, Harun Karacan stated that Romania is Turkey’s largest trade partner in the Balkans. Karacan emphasized that the political stability of Romania is of the utmost importance for Turkey.

Stating that the trade between the two countries is nearing 10 billion Dollars as of 2011 Harun Karacan said that in order further increase these relations the obstructions presented by visas must be abolished.

- Korodi: There are 12,000 Turkish companies in Romania

Emphasizing that the number of Turkish companies in Romania has almost reached 12,000, the Romanian House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Commission President Atilla Korodi expressed his gratification at how well relations have progressed. Korodi touched on the fact that the lifting of visas for Turkish investors is imperative. Expressing the importance of Turkey for Romania, Korodi said, “Turkey is Romania’s first trade partner excluding the EU countries and the fifth overall,” and stated that they are ready to provide support in order to develop relations.
