Stating that the agenda in EU-Turkey relations has recently focused on migration, security and counter-terrorism issues, Murzioğlu said, “Developments in our region clearly show how important Turkey-EU relations are for global stability. We have to improve this relationship, talk about our problems, and understand each other.”

Murzioğlu pointed out that awareness should be raised regarding Turkey-EU relations, covering all segments of society, “This needs to be carried out simultaneously. This project is very important for awareness efforts. There are many stories to be told about the EU in Turkey, and every year, dozens of projects in our country are provided financially supported by the EU."

Murzioğlu stated that a large part of the supported projects contribute to increasing sectoral and regional capacity and improving quality of life, and that this should be relayed more to the public.

The EU Information Centres Network aims to keep relations on the local agenda and inform the public about developments on the issue.
