The most prosperity is to be found in local goods
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the fourth Local and Traditional Gift Products Fair. Visiting each stall in turn, Hisarcıklıoğlu received information regarding the goods. He stated, “The most prosperity is to be found in local goods. Every province and country has its own particular goods and riches. In order to turn these into prosperity, this fair and others like it are very important.”

We are building a customs office as befits İstanbul and Turkey
The foundation laying ceremony for the new Halkalı Customs Office facilities which will be built in Büyükçekmece with the build-operate-transfer model was attended by the President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, the Customs and Commerce Minister Hayati Yazıcı, MPs, bureaucrats as well chamber and exchange presidents.

Historical record from BALO in railway transportation
BALO, transporting the goods of Anatolian industrialists to Europe, started its run with a historical record. Departing from Manisa last Sunday (September 8th), the first fare train of the Great Anatolia Logistics Organizations Inc. (BALO) reached Germany in 4 days. Stating that the travel time has been brought down to the minimum possible by speeding up bureaucratic processes, it was noted that 4 days are a historical record in railways transportation terms.

BALO starts, the first train to Europe has departed
The first privately funded freight train has departed from Anatolia to Europe as a part of the Great Anatolia Logistics Organizations Inc., representing a partnership of 93 entities from the affiliated chambers and exchanges of TOBB. Speaking at the departure of the first train, attended by the Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Communication Minister Binali Yıldırım, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that the project will increase the competitive power of the Turkish private sector and said, “The transportation network is like the circulatory system of the body. If the veins fail to work the system will become blocked. If the transportation network is defunct in a country, the economy will not grow.”

We all have a duty in solving problems
The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Commodity Exchange in Akhisar as a part of his Manisa visit. Stating that everyone has a duty in solving the problems Turkey faces, Hisarcıklıoğlu gave a message of unity and solidarity.

Women entrepreneurs increase by 20,000 in the last year
Attending the protocol ceremony of the entrepreneurship training program run by the İzmir Commodity Exchange (İZTB), TOBB İzmir Province Women Entrepreneurs Council and DEÜ Management Faculty, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “In the last year, the number of women entrepreneurs has increased by 20,000 in comparison to last year and I feel very proud as someone who contributed to this endeavor.”

We have a duty to keep Turkey together
Speaking at the İzmir Chamber of Commerce (İZTO) Profession Committees Joint Meeting, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Just like the businessmen in Germany and France in WWII, we have a duty as the cement of society, the representative of the middle column, to keep Turkey together.”
