Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Cengiz Günay, Member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), attended the Tashkent International Investment Forum held in Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan on March 24-26.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Retail Council convened under Council Vice President Galip Aykaç with the participation of Adem Başar, Director General of Internal Trade of the Ministry of Commerce and Mehmet Kayış, Head of the Electronic Commerce Department.​

Within the scope of chamber/exchange accreditation system efforts, Accreditation Orientation Training for Accreditation Officers and Secretaries who have just started their duties in accredited chambers and exchanges was held on March 24th, 2022 at TOBB Twin Towers.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Council convened via video conference under the chairmanship of Council President Gökhan Tezel.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, which has had a quality certificate since 1998, has obtained ISO9001:2015 quality management certificate as a result of the harmonization efforts of the ISO9001 revision published in 2015. The Inspection Audit was carried out within the units of the Union. ​

Accreditation Officer Training Program with 10 Accredited Rooms/Exchanges selected within the scope of Chamber/Exchange Accreditation System studies continued with project presentations of 2nd Module trainings.​

The meeting of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Cosmetic and Hygiene Products Industry Council was held by video conference with the participation of senior representatives of public, private sector and non-governmental organizations under the chairmanship of Council President Ahmet Pura.​

Activities carried out by TOBB Real Sector Research, Development and Application Department were introduced within the framework of TOBB Employees Qualified Orientation Program. Detailed information about the activities of accreditation directorate, SME Research and Consultancy Center Directorate, Industrial Directorate and Education and Quality Directorate operating within the Department was made by Özge Karatepe, Cahit Ceren and Saliha Nükhet Kuş respectively.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) met with the participation of TOBB Vice President Selçuk Öztürk and Ministry of Commerce Director General of Internal Trade Adem Başar, chaired by Ozan Acar, Turkey e-Commerce Council President.​

A business visit to Kayseri and Nevşehir was organized as a part of the Turkey-EU Business Dialogue Project conducted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and EUROCHAMBRES.​
